GREENMIX Recycling Industries Ltd

GREENMIX is the pioneering and leading company in Israel in the field of industrial recycling of construction and demolition waste, and the central force that paved the way for the establishment of this sector in the country. Since its founding, GREENMIX has transformed construction waste from an environmental nuisance into a vital, high-quality and readily available resource for the construction, infrastructure and development industries.

The company implements an advanced circular economy approach based on the understanding that every material has a second life. Through innovative production systems, precise sorting processes and advanced crushing and screening technologies, GREENMIX produces cementitious mixtures and engineered fill solutions based on 100% recycled aggregates, engineered to high standards and compliant with the most stringent industry regulations. Materials produced at GREENMIX recycling parks serve as a full and environmentally responsible alternative to virgin raw materials, enabling significant savings in natural resources and construction costs.

GREENMIX operates a network of advanced recycling parks in Jerusalem and Ashdod, with additional sites currently in planning and development. Each site is designed as an integrated and innovative facility incorporating sorting, crushing, screening and separation systems, and provides a comprehensive service envelope: from professional structural demolition, through waste evacuation and processing, to the production of advanced concrete mixtures and engineered fill materials — alongside regulated treatment of asbestos and complex environmental hazards.

Evolution of a Vision – GREENMIX Leading the Next Generation of Recycling

GREENMIX began its operations in the infrastructure sector in 1983 (as part of the Bnei & Tzvika Group), carrying out earthworks and development projects alongside structural demolition works across a wide range of projects.

As early as 1989, the company identified the urban renewal momentum in the greater metropolitan area of central Israel — a trend that is reaching its peak today. Accordingly, GREENMIX focused its operations on structural demolition and the operation of construction waste recycling sites, supported by research and development of innovative technologies, the use of specialized equipment, and the engagement of engineers and trained professional teams.

The Founder and Chairman of the company, Zvika David, has been active in the construction industry for more than three decades. He played a key role in developing the construction waste recycling sector in Israel, both at the industrial and regulatory levels. He served as Vice President of the Israel Builders Association and Chairman of its Infrastructure Division, and in 2019 was awarded a recognition by the Israel Green Building Council for his leadership and contribution to advancing circular economy principles in the construction industry.

The vision from which GREENMIX was born emerged from a simple yet profound observation: waste is not the end — it is the beginning. The piles of material accumulating at the edges of construction sites exposed the inefficiency of landfilling valuable resources, and revealed the opportunity to transform a burden into a resource. This understanding evolved into a worldview — there is no justification for burying viable material that can be returned to the production cycle and given new life.

Step by step, through hands-on leadership and practical experience, Zvika David laid the foundation for an industrial, innovative and sustainable recycling system — one that connects demolition to construction, environmental responsibility to engineering innovation. Under his leadership, GREENMIX today leads Israel’s transition into a new era in the construction sector — an era defined by sustainability, intelligence and real material value.

Today, the company proudly achieves a construction waste recycling rate of approximately 95%, consistent with leading developed countries worldwide. This is accomplished while pursuing the vision of 0% landfill (Zero Landfill), reducing the extraction of virgin raw materials, integrating recycled materials into the local market, and developing an innovative and sustainable recycling model with international applicability.

The company employs approximately 100 employees and serves more than 2,000 clients. It has established, developed and executed a significant volume of national and private projects for government ministries, state-owned enterprises and leading corporations. Among the flagship projects executed by the company are large-scale environmental waste remediation projects for the Ministry of Environmental Protection; demolition of Dizengoff Square and the former police headquarters in Tel Aviv; demolition of the Cinema Hall; demolition of the Haifa power plant chimneys and additional structures for the Israel Electric Corporation; demolition of the Elite factory in Ramat Gan; demolition of the IKEA building in Netanya; rehabilitation of contaminated land at Kiryat HaPlada, and many others.

The company leads in every field of activity in which it operates and is committed to excellence and service in accordance with the most stringent standards, while adopting European benchmarks — from structural demolition, collection and intake of construction waste, recycling and production of recycled raw materials, green concrete mixtures and innovative recycled products, to supporting services such as issuance of engagement confirmations for building permits, establishment and operation of temporary and permanent parking facilities, and environmental hazard solutions (asbestos and contaminated soil).

GREENMIX holds all required licenses and regulatory approvals for its fields of activity, including ISO 9001 certification.

Among its achievements, the company is proud to count the establishment of Israel’s first green concrete plant whose production is based entirely on recycled raw materials — environmentally responsible, high-quality materials fully equivalent in performance to virgin aggregates.
